A tear, rolling down my cheek
I hide, so you don’t notice it.
A wave, like there’s no tomorrow
A smile, that hides a lot of sorrow…
It’s not the end, it never is
But these things are breaking me to pieces.
So don’t close the door, don’t say goodbye
Say instead “See you the next time”.
There’s always a next time,
If not in this life
We’ll meet again for sure
Under a different light.
So farewell for now,
See you sometime
When we’ll be ready,
When time is right.

Indeed it’s not goodbye… so see you in future classes. And it was nice to meet you. 🙂

Makes me sad, but I have been there before.

No need for sadness as there’s always “the next time”, until time doesn’t matter anymore…

So beautifully written. Love how you describe the alternative to a farewell.
If not in this life
We’ll meet again for sure
Under a different light.
– Never thought about that, so true.

Thank you! I like to think existence it’s a circle where
nothing ever stops. A bit like a perpetuum mobile.
