My favourite songs from 2014 up until 2021

In respect to the hard research I have done six years ago in writing posts about my favourite songs from each year, I decided to add some song that stuck with me along these last few years.

Many songs I have liked and loathe but there are only few that stuck with me until today. So without further ado, let’s see the songs that have been added to my very long list of songs I couldn’t not get bored of.

First, let’s talk about the songs that always put you in a good mood, that lift you up when you are down or give you strength to move on. Here is Justin Timberlake with Can’t stop the feeling , Avicii with Broken Arrows and my all time favourite Eminem&Sia- Guts over fear– this is my anthem when feeling down. Also, a special mention to The Greatest Showman-This is me, I feel at peace listening to this song.

In the melancholic category is the soundtrack from a Star is Born with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, best soundtrack ever. From Lady Gaga, I also like Million Reasons , so different from her previous song. Something different, and equally nice, is Miley Cyrus’ No Freedom. The song I frequently do karaoke on is Supermarket flowers by Ed Sheehan (a very sad songs, though).

A song I have discovered through covers is Zayn’s Pillow talk, and must admit the flute cover by Kurt Murphy and the violin one by DSharp are far better than the original. I could listen to them all day long.

Special mentions to songs which are not in English but have won a place in my heart are Beret feat Sofia Reyes with Lo Siento, Luis Fonsi with Despacito– but I looove this violin cover by Karolina Protsenko more- and of course, Jerusalema by Master KG– this became a universal phenomenon.

As for the songs I like to listen to in order to calm down and get ready for writing, one of the best songs would be Heavn- The Sea. Together with Heavn, I also listen to Rag’n’Bone Man- my latest favourite artist. Crossfire, Anywhere away from here with Pink, Lightyears and Talking to Myself are all wonderful to listen to-a great album!! They are on repeat in my current playlist. And for some clever lyrics All You Ever Wanted.
