Which Way Photo Challenge

Roads can take you anywhere, in an adventure of a lifetime. The way you go is strictly your own choice. This is my entry for SonOfABeach96’s Which Way Photo Challenge this week:

Roaring laughter

Laughing is the best remedy. That’s why I try to experience it daily.

I saw the following video a couple of hours ago, after and intense debating on a disturbing subject (will write about it on Mid-Week Music&Musings).  Even though the end of the video was quite fumy,  this lady’s reaction, made me see how cool she is. And I laughed even harder with her.

Lady, you are awesome!

A limerick challenge

This is the second time I tried my luck with limerick. I find it quite difficult, but I love challenges. So thanks to Mind And Life Matters and her Limerick Poetry Challenge I can practice this more. Here’s my approach on this week’s prompt :

Immortal spirit

They said their life was shit

They couldn’t stand it any bit

I think it’s cool

Their life is null

But my immortal spirit is heavenly wit.

3 Day Quote Challenge (Day 3)

Today being the last day of this challenge, I decided to choose some quotes that will put a smile on your face. Am guilty of enjoying – from time to time – an easy read, a chick lit novel that will make me laugh out loud. My three picks for the day, are from three books I enjoyed as much as I enjoy eating a cheesecake (a lot!).

3 Day Quote Challenge (Day 2)

Back again, with the second round of quotes. Thank you Chape for nominating me. If in need for some healthy tips, do visit his blog.

Challenge rules:

1. Post three consecutive days.

2. You can pick one or three quotes per day.

3. Challenge three different bloggers per day.

For the last 20 minutes, have been searching through my old notebooks for those 3 amazing quotes, I’ve been meaning to write. Two of them are in Spanish and one in Romanian :). Never mind, there are plenty other quotes I can relate to. Like these three:

“We try so hard to put our mark on things, we like to tell ourselves that what we do has import or will last. But the truth is, we’re all just passing through. So little survives us. And when we’re gone, it’s simply the memory of others that keeps our time here alive. And when they’re gone… That’s why – when I go – I’m asking that my dust gets tossed on the water. Because ends up floating away.” – Douglas Kennedy, Leaving the World

“Do the kind of things that come from the heart. When you do, you won’t be dissatisfied, you won’t be envious, you won’t be longing for somebody else’s things. On the contrary, you’ll be overwhelmed with what comes back.” – Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie

“Truth has power. And if we all gravitate toward similar ideas, maybe we do so because those ideas are true…written deep within us. And when we hear the truth, even if we don’t understand it, we feel that truth resonate within us…vibrating with our unconscious wisdom. Perhaps the truth is not learned by us, but rather, the truth is re-called…re-membered…-re-cognized…as that which is already inside us.” – Dan Brown, The Lost Symbol

My nominees for today are:

  1. summer mornings….
  2. couriouser and couriouser
  3. Hope For Love Always

3 Day Quote Challenge (Day 1)

Did I tell you I love quotes? I basically live my life ruled by them. Here’s one that inspired me the most last year:

AZ Quotes

Thank you Chape @ Chape Blog for nominating me to this awesome 3 days challenge! If you didn’t visit his blog before, you should do it straight away as you can learn lots of things about living healthy.

Challenge rules:

1. Post three consecutive days.

2. You can pick one or three quotes per day.

3. Challenge three different bloggers per day.

I decided to post quotes from the books I fell in love with over the years. Here are 3 quotes from some books I enjoyed reading last year:

“But there’s a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother’s story, because hers is where yours begin.”- Mitch Albom, For One More Day

“The choice for mankind lies between freedom and happiness and for the great bulk of mankind, happiness is better.”- George Orwell, 1984

“Beautiful sunshine, cloudless skies, no one to play with, nothing to do. Living like this, the way I’m living at the moment, is harder in the summer when there is so much daylight, so little cover of darkness, when everyone is out and about, being flagrantly, aggressively happy. It’s exhausting, and it makes you feel bad if you’re not joining in.” – Paula Hawkins, The Girl on the Train

My nominees are:

  1. Michelle @ Two Are Better Than One
  2. Roo @ Whats Next
  3. JoHanna @ JoHanna Massey

Writing with no audience in mind

Do you have an ideal reader in mind, while writing your posts? I don’t. If you stick around and browse through my posts, you’ll notice the randomness of them all. It’s like going into a market where you can find nearly everything. Not a supermarket, but an open market, like the ones in Eastern Europe, where vendors are trying to sell their products in most unexpected ways. Same are my posts, trying to grab your attention. Continue reading “Writing with no audience in mind”
